Happy International Midwives Day

Mater celebrates our exceptional midwives each year on International Midwives Day (5 May).

This day provides an opportunity to recognise the contribution our midwives make to Mater and the compassionate care they provide for women and their families.

The theme for this year is The world needs midwives now more than ever with a supporting theme of Midwives changing the world one family at a time. This theme rings especially true for our Mater midwives—we operate one of the largest and busiest maternity facilities in Australia.

To our amazing Mater midwives who make a difference to both those who access our care and to the multidisciplinary staff you work with every day, thank you for your contributions.
