Reasons to come to the Pregnancy Assessment Centre

If you experience any of the following please present immediately to PAC, level 5, Mater Mothers’ (do not wait until the  next day):

  • If you are experiencing any of these complications:
  • ­   Any vaginal bleeding during pregnancy
  • ­   Uncontrollable vomiting or diarrhoea
  • ­   Stomach (abdominal) or back pain
  • ­   Unusual headaches and/or blurred vision
  • ­   Fainting
  • ­   Fever
  • ­   Constant itching
  • If you are unsure about what is happening to you or you think you are in labour
  • Your baby is moving less than usual or you are concerned
  • If your waters break (membrane rupture)

For symptoms such as coughs, colds, vomiting, diarrhoea or urinary discomfort you might also consider seeing your GP. If you are unsure please present to PAC.

In an emergency situation you should always call an ambulance.
