Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month

As part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, Mater Mothers is honouring the brave journey some families face and recognising babies who pass away from miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death.

Thank you to Michelle for sharing, as she reflects on her experience.

"In July this year my waters broke at 18 weeks and 3 days the stress and anxiety I felt was beyond belief... but my husband and I were explained and kept informed every step of the way.

"Unfortunately things didn't turn out well for our son and I had to be induced.

"Our son once born was treated with respect and dignity the beautiful midwife helped me dress him and we were able to spend much needed time with our Archer which helped so much with our closure and grief.

"Mater went above and beyond for us and our sweet angel baby. I will be forever grateful..."
