Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane has reached a new milestone after welcoming its 100th family to the Bundle of Joy club.
Parents who purchase the card can save hundreds of dollars off a range of costs, including routine ultrasounds, routine blood tests, hospital car parking and meals for dad.
Kathleen Goldsmith, Mater Mothers’ Assistant Director of Clinical Services, said Bundle of Joy had been designed with Mater families in mind.
“Mater’s Bundle of Joy card helps parents to reduce some out-of-pocket costs associated with giving birth that are not necessarily covered by private health insurance or Medicare,” Kathleen said.
“Every little bit helps when you are having a baby – and the savings we have bundled together for Mater parents add up to a lot.”
“Plus, women can enjoy access to the highest-quality ultrasound services at Mater Maternal Fetal Medicine Women’s Imaging thanks to our Bundle of Joy card,” Kathleen added.
Mater Mothers’ mum-to-be Violet welcomed her first child in a New York hospital whilst living overseas with husband Joshua in 2020, but she was very excited to be giving birth to their second child at Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane.
“When we returned to Australia from overseas, I knew I wanted to give birth at Mater Mothers,” Violet said.
“The Bundle of Joy card is great, because I knew I wanted to have my pregnancy scans at Mater Maternal Fetal Medicine Women’s Imaging too.”
Violet is currently 15 weeks’ pregnant with baby number two expected to arrive mid-August.
