Plenty of luck for baby Ruaan born on 22-2-22

Plenty of luck for baby Ruaan born on 22-2-22

He may not have known it, but baby Ruaan Khanna chose one of the rarest dates to arrive in the world.

Born at 9.15am at Brisbane’s Mater Mothers’ Hospital on 22 February 2022, Ruaan’s birthdate is a palindrome as well as an ambigram.

It reads the same way forwards and backwards and upside down.

In Chinese numerology, the number 2 is considered lucky and 22 comes with twice the fortune.

For parents, Brisbane couple Kshitij and Alisha Khanna, they are simply pleased Ruaan arrived safely and healthy.

Mr Khanna said having “twosday” as his birthday will make it hard for them to forget Ruaan’s birth date.

“It’s just so surreal, it hasn’t sunk in,” said Mr Khanna, hours after welcoming Ruaan into the world.

“We are just so happy he is here, safe and healthy.

“He was actually due on the 25th and he came a bit early.

“Some of our friends said we should try and get induced so he could be born on such a rare date, but we didn’t even have to do that.”

Mr Khanna said his son, who weighed 2.95kg, was already “well behaved”.

“His big sister Nyra, 3, is looking forward to meeting him,” he said.

Mater Mothers' Hospitals are Australia's largest maternity service with 12 000 babies born at a Mater hospital in Queensland every year.
