Forever grateful

Forever grateful

Choosing a hospital can be a difficult decision, my husband and I live on the north side of Brisbane. For us, Mater Mothers' was a bit of drive. However, we wouldn't have it any other way. The care and support that is consistently shown is truly invaluable, the rooms are beautiful and the view is spectacular. We have had our three children at Mater Mothers' and have such beautiful memories that we'll cherish forever. Patrick, Priscilla and Porscha, are our sweet cherubs who were all born here.

We've had fairly similar births for each of our three children, I was induced each time for slightly different reasons. We've also been fortunate enough to have our lovely obstetrician, Dr David Lingard safely deliver all of our babies into the world. It's such an emotional day, filled with so much excitement and so much concern. The midwives were truly incredible throughout the whole process – we would really like to take this opportunity to honour them for all of their hard work and dedication.

We have experienced what it's like to have a child in special care, our first daughter Priscilla was born 2060 grams at 37 weeks. She fed beautifully straight after birth, but was just so tiny. My heart goes out to all of the incredible parents who have a baby in NICU for an extended amount of time. The midwives were an invaluable source of support and the care shown to each and every baby was just beautiful.

We have walked away with such incredible memories of Mater Mothers' and will continue to recommend this wonderful hospital. I will always remember the beautiful volunteers who come into your room with a big smile. It's just so lovely to know that you're supported at this very special time in hospital with your newborn. Thank you once again to everyone at Mater Mothers' for everything you do for your patients and their families. We are forever grateful and this hospital will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
