Location and parking information

Mater is committed to offering accessible car parking facilities for the convenience of patients and visitors.

Parking is available for patients and visitors onsite for free, 24 hours a day, with access via Spencer Street and Jessie Street. However, this parking can become busy during peak periods. Public parking is also available in adjacent streets, and notice of relevant constraints and restrictions should be noted at time of parking.

Public transport

Rockhampton Domestic Airport

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is located a short five-minute drive from Rockhampton airport. Services to Rockhampton from Brisbane run daily, and you can check schedules via Qantas and Virgin Australia.

By taxi and bus

Taxi and bus transportation is widely available throughout Rockhampton. Ask at reception if you would like a taxi ordered on your behalf.

Visiting Hours

At Mater we recognise the importance of visiting your loved ones at times that are convenient to you. We encourage family and friends to visit patients between 12 pm to 1 pm and 3.30 pm to 8 pm, seven days a week.

Please note, to ensure patients have adequate rest and recovery periods, we promote a rest period between 1 pm and 3.30 pm.
